The Embassy of Sudan in Tripoli has announced the launch of the first flight under the voluntary repatriation program for Sudanese nationals from Libya to Sudan. The initial flight will carry 166 passengers bound for Port Sudan International Airport on Wednesday, April 29.
In an official post published on its page on Facebook, the embassy specified that the gathering point for passengers will be at the embassy headquarters in the Gargaresh area of Tripoli at 5:00 p.m., in preparation for completing travel procedures and departing for Sudan as part of the voluntary return initiative.
The embassy emphasized the importance of adhering to the scheduled time, warning that anyone who fails to arrive at the designated time will forfeit their opportunity to travel on this flight.
The voluntary repatriation program is considered a humanitarian initiative aimed at providing a safe and organized return for Sudanese nationals stranded in Libya, in coordination with relevant authorities, helping to ease humanitarian challenges and ensure the safety of returnees.
