Dutch Embassy Celebrates King’s Day on April 27, Highlighting Strong Egypt–Netherlands Relations

In a vibrant atmosphere reflecting friendship and

cooperation, the Netherlands celebrates King’s Day on April 27 each year—one of the country’s most prominent national occasions.
On this occasion, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt is hosting a special celebration in Cairo, attended by officials, diplomats, public figures, and representatives of civil society, highlighting the strength of bilateral ties between Egypt and the Netherlands.
King’s Day marks the birthday of King Willem-Alexander, with celebrations across the Netherlands featuring orange-themed festivities, cultural events, and nationwide public gatherings.
The event in Cairo is expected to include cultural and artistic performances showcasing Dutch heritage, alongside discussions emphasizing cooperation between the two countries, particularly in areas such as sustainable development, water management, and investment.
Peter Mollema, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Egypt, stated that King’s Day represents an important opportunity to strengthen ties of friendship and expand cooperation between the two nations, reaffirming his country’s commitment to deepening partnerships with Egypt across key sectors.
The celebration underscores the enduring and growing relationship between Egypt and the Netherlands, driven by shared interests and mutual development goals.
